Incredibly disrespectful crowd towards Hbox

So is the implicit argument in this that a crowd has to respect a player? As far as I'm aware, the crowd and the players of a sport are in it for different reasons, which in general, tend to crossover. The crowd is interested in spectating the sport for entertainment, the players enter the sport to win. Hungrybox probably gets a lot of respect from the players, since his style and level of play garners a lot of victories, but I have no trouble saying for me personally, and many others it seems, find it extremely boring. Hungrybox games are rarely games I look forward to watching, especially in grand finals. Even if on a deeper level they are still intense, compared to the fast pace nature of space animals, marth, falcon, pikachu, yoshi, even shiek and icey's, it's just so boring. The same argument could be levelled at Peach, but Armada's playstyle isn't as 'campy' as Hbox's.

So from my point of view, a crowd should cheer when they respect an players play, they are also free to boo, when they feels a player is being disrespectful, and in general, a crowd should be allowed to just voice their feelings. Demanding a crowd cheers, when the crowd in general dislikes what they are seeing is a bit disingenuous. Personally, Hbox has just put me off watching melee. There was a point where I enjoyed watching his matches, but only as a supporting character in the greater Melee narrative. Now that he is constantly in grand finals, it's just takes out all of the high intensity pace in melee which I loved. I can totally see why Hbox fans wouldn't like people booing Hbox, no one likes to see people openly berate something they love, but rather than blame the hundred odd people+ who acted that way, I'd look towards the single common denominator.

tl;dr: Hbox is a great competitor and champion, but boring to watch for those who are interested in melee because of the high intensity pace/flow. A crowd is there to spectate and if cheering is allowed, booing should be fine to, otherwise the whole atmosphere feels artificial and disingenuous.
