Most people on this subreddit are underestimating the power of a Test Championship especially if India wins. Most old guys in India will be dancing like crazy if India wins WTC because most of them have seen a "mediocre India" carried by 2-3 players.

No body is going to dance over this victory. Still, this will be a happy thing, sure.

Oldies enjoy the recent fast bowling legacy after enduring decades of thrashing from fast bowlers from all over. Still thrashing of Henry Olango by Sachin is talked about. With due respect, people like Abey Kuruvilla and Dodda Ganesh were running in with cherry in hand. Few others like Tinu Yohannan, Avishkar Salvi, and VRV Singh withered away. Varun Aron impressed a lot with his few 145 k spells. I don't know where he is now.

We were and still are envious of Pakistan's bowling lineups. 2 Ws, Aqib, Imran, and Akhtar wow...I heard people talking about Waqar losing his memory and defect to India. Looked silly. Those were the days. But, now I can smugly smile on the riches of the Indian attack. Even the fourth or fifth bowler from Pak will be gold for India.

Now, this new crop of fast bowlers is relentless and a culture has been created. We get vicarious pleasure from seeing Indian bowlers hitting the helmets of batsmen.
