Indiana coronavirus cases: 4,462 new cases, 45 new deaths reported

Earlier today I walking around a county trail with my 65-year-old mom and her old dog when I came upon a family walking the other direction. It was a skinny bald guy with a beard in a white tank top shirt with a baby on his hip and two younger girls behind him. Really, either of the girls could have been adults. I have no clue. I mostly just zone out people when I go on nature walks and try to pretend I'm out there alone with nature.

So, my mom and I walked off to the side to let them pass and to better secure our masks. The guy starts fake coughing obnoxiously, then opens up with a "you guys are Biden supporters aren't you" in the absolute shittiest tone I have ever heard. Then he started to go on about how COVID is a hoax. We mostly just ignored the guy and kept walking. I straight up zoned out most of what he was saying. My mom was throwing back insults for a bit of it on the way back. When they were way out of sight we heard him yell back at us to try and get one last zinger in about Trump. I have no idea what he was saying.

Honestly, more than anything, I was embarrassed for the guy, for our state, and for our country. On the way back we happened across this display in front of a house near our neighborhood. Which, is what it is, but all this right after the other felt like an episode of some absurd tv show.

I saw this post, with this headline, and just had to share this experience we had today. It was absolutely ridiculous. Imagine getting in the face(figuratively, but nearly literally) of a 65yo, silver-haired, 5'0" tall woman trying to wear a mask, out of courtesy for him, on the same day
and in the same state that this is going on.

In retrospect, I honestly should have been angrier just for all of that alone and I'm feeling it now. He can whine and make an ass out of himself all he wants but that shit was unacceptable.
