Indiana Loses Its Game: Right now, Indiana is in a mess, and residents are worried about the loss of jobs and investment because of a meaningless and spiteful piece of legislation. They should feel free to blame their governor.

Merely my opinions:

1)The democratic process ends at the election? The democratic process is the election. Beyond that, it is the civic duty of every citizen to hold their elected representative accountable for their actions. That doesn't mean the representative will listen to their constituents, which is why I stress registering and voting to any who listen. A republic with apathetic voters is destined to be ruled by evil men (I wanna say Plato said that, but I could be wrong).

2)Did you write a letter to your government? It's 2015; Email...and yes I did. My representative is David Long (Google him and tell me if he seems the type hat will respond to reason), see above comment about discussing selective hearing by politicians.

3)Did you protest? Do you mean standing outside with signs, then no. If you meant "protest" as in a political stance, such as boycotting businesses, spamming my governor's phone, etc; then yes and I still do. I was writing another email today when I decided to check Reddit and seen your comment.

4)Did you stop going to work/school? Stop going to work would result in most people becoming broke and the current Indiana GOP's attitude towards the poor is well known. Refusal to work in protest would just compound the average Hoosiers' problems; it's not an attractive option.

5)What kind of solidarity did you show to the gays living in Indiana? I'm fighting and protesting for their behalf and Indiana's future. Most Hoosiers would give you the shirt off their back to help you feel welcome and for the Indiana GOP-led state legislature to pervert that quality for political gain is despicable. Their actions have tarnished this states' integrity, respect and credibility to curry favor for a very loud but wealthy political minority.

I can only hope that other Hoosiers learn this lesson in politics well and respond accordingly in 2016, sadly the only time when a Hoosiers voice in politics matter. However, since Indiana had the lowest voter turnout during the mid term election, that remains to be seen.
