Indiana Senate committee passes bill to raise legal tobacco age limit from 18 to 21

I'm a smoker. Since 13. Over 2 packs a day at over 10 bucks a pack. I quit cold turkey to prove I could, stayed off them for many months and started again because I like it and it reminds me of my mother that died when I was young. It makes me happy to smoke.

Smoking is bad. Don't do it. It's expensive and you will die faster and in a slow and painful way over many years.

With that said, IMHO. If you are in the military, you can smoke and drink. If you are old enough to fly across the globe and die for some rich asshole in his big house, you are old enough to smoke (and drink).

If they raise the age of smoking, they should raise the age of military/draft. Period.

But that's just my opinion.
