I live next to one of the richest reserves in the country. Half of them drive far nicer cars than me or my parents.

I agree with the OPs point, I pay taxes for clean water. If there is a natural disaster some of my water taxes cover the cost of bottled water. For the rest of the regular operation days, my taxes pay people to maintain the water plant that cleans my water.

We should be helping the native communities to establish water processing plants and encourage them to be self sufficient and have some of them go to school for water treatment. They get free schooling (all they have to do is get their teachers to sign an attendance sheet).

We already send them tons of money with no oversight to where it is spent (a lot of band chiefs keep the money for themselves).
