Oh yeah it's fucktons of money for doing literally nothing, but that's the only explanation from a dev I'd accept. "Yeah the EGS is terrible, but if we take this deal we're fucking rich." Not some sob story about financial security, you're in an already overcrowded luxury market and aren't owed success, plus Epic is primarily poaching games that already indicate success rather than funding actual struggling indies. Not some outright lie about Epic being the better store or creating "competition" with Valve by removing the ability for the platforms to compete. Just say we took the deal because cash money, we out bitches. At least I can respect the hustle.
