Around 4:00 the vlogger speaks of the "fusion" of hinduism, buddhism, animism, and other "isms," as he puts it. The thing is, none of these "isms" were defined as such during that time or before it, and there are a million other reasons why using labels like "isms" is deeply problematic--or simply, incredibly misleading--as to the nature of those people and their religious practices back then.

The fact was, there were many, many circles of practitioners within Hinduism, Buddhism, and animism and they were all overlapping each other (and continue to do so today). They never saw themselves as in contrast with one another...they were pursuing the cultivation of virtues and spirituality, of wisdom and the exploration of consciousness, of experiencing the divine, of liberating oneself from his prisons, of revitalizing nature, et cetera.
