i saw a tweet the other day that said something like "i asked my doctor if this botox will make me look younger and he was like no but it'll make you look the same as every other girl your age who gets it too" and even tho it was a joke i think it's spot on like so often when 20 somethings (esp. women in their early 20s) get work done and/or transform in the way that you described, they usually don't look "younger" necessarily, but it almost feels like that's not the goal anymore. like it's become so prevalent among younger cohorts of women that it's now used as a status symbol, kind of like how designer purses used to be, if that makes sense?
