We inherit too much and earn too little: Inheritance tax needs overhauling in an age of stagnant wage growth if we want a fair society

But its not, if your company produces a product that someone needs you'll be replaced quickly. Some people might lose their jobs, but there is no net loss to the economy.

And you'll respond by saying something about legal, regulation bollocks, which is meaningless. If you have IP then there are plenty of regulations in place to stop it being abused, if you don't you are shit out of luck.

You're just wrong. I'll give you an example; The Psychoactive Substances Bill last year effectively shut down the majority of 'Head shops' across the country by outlawing 'legal highs'.

Now, whatever your opinion of 'Legal Highs' (personally I'm against them); The demand didn't disappear, but the jobs did.

It didn't effect me or my businesses but I know some wholesalers whose business was effected by it slightly; their customer's retail businesses were devastated by it though and their staff were laid off.

There are many examples where minor changes in laws and regulations can result in job losses. The sort of things you've been taught only apply to larger markets, small companies cannot compete fairly in heavily regulated markets either.
