Injury Before Marathon

Don't know if this helps, but I had a similar calf issue flare up two weeks before a bucket list marathon I was running for a very worthy cause and had done a lot of fund raising for as well as booked travel/hotels... I couldn't bring myself to quit, got physio to at least get me to the start line, training basically became long walks for those two weeks. I took it easy on the day and finished (in pain), but honestly I've had recurring calf issues I haven't been able to get to the bottom of ever since (this was 6 years ago). I probably wouldn't change my own decision, but I'd definitely think twice in your position, depending on how much the race means to you.
