Inside the Saudi Strategy to Keep the World Hooked on Oil

I agree with researching and making fossil fuel extraction, and usage, more efficient. We are not getting off of oil anytime soon. Renewable resources will not save us, so let's not even pretend that they will. There isn't enough precious metals in the world to replace all our cars with electric. We need our wheels, and most of them are going to be driven by petrol and diesel for a very long time. Sure, the wealthy can show off their 'green' trendy gadget, but the rest of us still need fuel. I see no issue with them pumping money into better ways of extracting oil, and using tech to make the process more cost effective and efficient. Fuck lobbying and lying in academic research though, that is just bullshit.
