Instead of a giant punch how would you rather have luffy beat kaido?

Or have big mom betray him, then her kids betray her for Katakuri, the All Stars sense weakness and try to take out the Calamities while they're weak, Kaidos pressganged crew try to flee, and so on. It would fit Kaido's "The Strongest Rule" mentality and show the kind of world he was trying to make where everyone is out for themselves.

Onigashima crashblands outside the flower capital, and the citizens rally around Momonosuke and Hiyori. They attack the fleeing gifters, Orchid samurai, and beast pirates who oppressed them.

Luffy and the alliance win because they're the only people actually working together. The final fight has Kaido by completely alone in the wasteland he created, surrounded by the alliance. They hold out until Luffy can use Gear 5. Its a back and forth fight, but as it goes he hears people laughing. He thinks its the Smile fruit eaters but realizes its people laughing watching Luffy using his Gear 5 powers to clown on Kaido. He gets furious as he gets more and more humiliated, losing the glorious death he wanted. All his attempts to hurt people and shut them up are blocked and he gets boxed in, then Luffy beats him with a giant punch.

Hits on pirates betraying each other, kaidos ideals, the people of wano uniting and rising up, Oden's humiliation, the alliance storyline pays off, and Kaido is shown to be the opposite of his hero Joyboy.
