Intense Debate on Veganism

Soyboy doing God's work.

The most infuriating thing about having a discussion with hostile omnis is every argument they come up with there is a logical, ethical counter that supports veganism. But when you raise these points, they refuse to understand what's being said due to the massive amount of inherent prejudice before the conversation even begins. Simply by existing, vegans attack their very way of life. If there's logic to veganism, and our reasoning for doing so is a moral one, that would mean they are immoral by default which is, of course, completely unacceptable.

Every time these discussions happen with omnis on reddit, I see selective reasoning and confirmation bias. They'll argue something which seems to make sense, but when you counter with pure logic they will focus on another part of your argument and completely ignore the initial point of contention because they can't support it. Then you move on to the next point they bring up, and the same thing happens again. Then again, and again, and again. It's exhausting. After all is said and done, we're labeled snobs with our noses in the air. A bunch of annoying, crazy, self-righteous pushers of propaganda only doing so to feel morally superior to everyone else. They have to see us this way because it's easier to find fault in others than it is to find it in yourself, and if vegans are right then that means they're wrong. If they're wrong, they have to admit that to themselves and make changes to their diet which requires effort and self-reflection. With everything else that's going on in a person's life, it's usually more than they are willing to consider.

There is only one argument vegans have no counter for, and it's if the person we're speaking to doesn't care about animals at all and openly admits to it. If you talk to these people all day and their answer is still the same with zero attempts to justify their actions/way of thinking, it's pointless to carry on.
