Intense and unresolved drama hits /r/conspiracy when one mod removes another for taking bribes from a "9/11 truth" organization.

I sent Flytape this message asking him to weigh in on all of his, since AATA says it was Flytape who provided the evidence against Orangutan.

Here's Flytape's lenghty response:

I agree with you that AATA jumps too fast. It was irresponsible of me to grant him access to my research.

In 2008-2009 Justin K managed to take over 911blogger, this was a minor drama back then that involved provocateurs and witch hunting on that site. You can still find articles about it if you dig.

Then there was the AE911 episode with Justin k that was documented by Sarah corrier who worked in IT for ae911 under her maiden name, again you can find that if you did "the shaky moral foundation of AE911TRUTH"

This leads to reports of Justin k billing ae911 heavily for IT functions (1099s)

Justin k then was on the board of officers for AE911 as you can find and confirm by looking at AEs 990s (confirmed)

Then in later years Justin k was no longer on the list of officers at AE but suddenly his company which is co-owned by a mod of /con starts getting grants from ae911.

Then things get really fancy with a bunch of 911 related funds and foundations getting money from AE, most of which lead directly back to Justin k. Whois searches can confirm this.

I wouldn't call it bribes, the relationship with AE and this mod existed for years before they were a mod.

The trouble arises when this mod consistently votes in favor of AE911 users who consistently break the rules at /con. And when the mod posts links to a store page of organizations they are financially tied to. Especially when these troubled users are asking for things like making AE911TRUTH "a litmus test" for screening out mods of conspiracy and when they attack any competing theories about 9-11. Going as far as witch hunting myself and AP as well as regular users for humoring theories such as Judy Wood's theories.

Its very meta and drama filled but I feel like its irresponsible to let a mod with a conflict of interest like that to play so heavily in favor of their own connection.

When they posted a link to their store on 9-11 on what looks to me like clever guerilla marketing it broke the camel's back and I revealed my research.

Personally I would support an AMA from Richard Gage or Judy woods or any other researcher in the field of 911 theories and I have. Even though I think the Saudis did 911, I feel like the purpose of /conspiracy is to explore ALL theories freely and not enact "litmus tests" that steer our readership into a single organization's hands. An organization that is clearing a million dollars in donations this year.

I would do the same thing if Alex Jones had agents trying to turn conspiracy into a corral for info wars. I have no special interest in ruining AE911 I just think we don't need them directly on the mod team of conspiracy making choices that give them an unfair edge in the competition of ideas.

So, TL;DR, Flytape has some suspicions against AE911Truth and gave AATA "access to his research," which are apparently tax documents, but there is absolutely no evidence to back up AATA's claim that Orangutan "took payola" for moderating /r/conspiracy. Just as I expected, since these guys pull the same shit time and time again. I've felt bad (and have vocally expressed my frustration) for the /r/conspiracy subreddit, since their moderators put their opinions and above the community and do not know the first thing about professionalism or common courtesy.
