The Intercept combed through Tulsi Gabbard's campaign donors and found EIGHT HUNDRED HINDU NAMES, Implying something wrong with that, in a sad case of ethnic fear-mongering.

Not saying those terms are negative, but they don't accurately describe the Dharmic traditions and instead allows the Abrahamic traditions to do what they did to other "pagan" civilisations which is to distort, digest, denigrate, and ultimately convert the people to their "saviour" religion through colonisation by justifying it under their version of "human rights". Added monotheism to my original comment because it also belongs as a term that is inaccurate and imprecise as the others.

The Dharmic traditions can accommodate those terms but it doesn't do justice to the nuances and differences of Dharma that should be appreciated and respected on their terms, the same respect that is demanded by the Abrahamic faiths.
