Are college professional experiences (interns/co-ops) relevant throughout the first 4-5 years of a career?

May 2021 grad.

My situation is I can now work full time + school full time. Chemical Engineer looking to get into tech consulting. Have 3-4 firms in my sights hopefully secure an offer this fall.

Currently have an offer to work full time September-Decemeber, working in environment, health, and safety for an international firm. Basically checking still worth doing even if I will probably accept another companies offer, because of the skills and experience I can develop yeah?

Alternative is move to college town, work in polymer research. More fun with friends, but not as valuable professionally.

Apologies if this is an easy question.
