Interested to see if other Spokane Redditors think that Limebike will be successful here.

I'm not sure what your metric of wildly popular is, but they've exceeded all expectations in terms of ridership in Seattle. In terms of practicality, they can easily replace all SOV trips <5 miles, which form the majority of trips in most cities in the US. 'Casually abandoned', I mean, they're dockless by design. I've never seen one left in the middle of the road. Sidewalks can sometimes be an issue, but there are a few designs they are working on to minimize this. I've never had an issue with one that I couldn't easily get around. And it's a private company, who cares if they're vandalized? It's all their responsibility. A few have ended up in the Sound, but I'm sure there's some nastier shit at the bottom of the Spokane River than some rusty metal.
