Interesting point

You nailed it. This sub has gone to shit the last few days because I don't really think anyone understands the intentions of this album. Blink has been around for over 20 years now and every single record they have put out seems to have a very distinct vibe from the rest.

California is not like that.

They have said multiple times that California will have something for everyone. If you were a blink-182 fan at one point in your life, you'll find something on the album to enjoy. Lo and behond, that's exactly what the album is. There are songs on California that would easily fit into one of just about every past album. They even added songs like Sober to appeal to new listeners (like it or not).

This is blink making a comeback. For real.

Look at the energy in the band right now. They're making appearances everywhere, taking pictures together, and they generally look like they're all hanging out together and having fun. I don't think I've ever seen pictures of Tom post reuinion just hanging out and spending time with Mark and Travis like Skiba is today at the Empire State Building.

Yet everyone seems to be shitting all over this album because 'there's only like 4 good songs and the rest is generic garbage'

I know this is true because if you look at any of the 182,000 threads that have popped up since the leak, every one of these posts has a very different 4 songs that they consider the best.

That's how I know blink hit the nail on the head with this album. People are just too fucking self indulgent to realize it.
