Intern-Kun Opinion Poll!

Often the game translators don't get to see where their translated text is applied as they're translating the lines and lines of text, they have to wait for the developers to roll out a build with the translations applied. Translators rarely work hand-in-hand with developers, it's usually a completely separate process. In addition, the management or PM will probably only be looking at "word count" to calculate how much time is needed to translate files. I see calculations varying wildly, anywhere between 2k/day to 5k/day if translator's using CAT tools (translation tools). Often the quality is ignored when management is looking at timelines, they only tend to see word count.

This is exactly how things operate, for anyone wondering.
