Profiting off others misfortune is un-Australian? How do I get a visa to your Australia?
"Fuck you, I got mine" has been the modus operandi for a while now, just look at our house / rent prices or who the public has decided to vote into to represent them over the last few decades. We just pretend to like equitability, we like having all the benefits when they matter, but as soon as we hit the threshold where we no longer need the benefits, we have a sook about all these no good "soft" bludgers who need to suck up their misfortunes and harden up because their own tax money shouldn't be paying for the student allowance or psychologists, yes, how DARE they have to feed any contribution back into the system which allows them to live such a comfortable life.
The way things have shifted is a direct result of the way people have voted. Whether it's sheer ignorance or malicious intent, we still are still trending down this apathetic route.
