Interns, first, and second years! As a senior, what can I do to help you?

You misunderstood what I said. I go in with that assumption, so that if you do not live up to standards higher than that you don't feel terrible. When I interned I was never conditioned to work at a slow pace. I got things done efficiently and asked for more work. Sometimes teams don't have work for interns, you need to understand that. There are certain things you can't do, regardless of how "hungry" you are. Client knowledge is important and auditing is more than copying what was done last year.

I welcome interns with zero assumptions on their skill set and wait until they prove what they can do. Then I will give more advanced work.
