Interview for freelance academic writing position

It saddens me to report that "academic writing" is not what I expected. As an undergrad and grad student, I was vaguely aware that these services existed, but it never even crossed my mind to use them. I recognize that people have busy schedules, multiple jobs, and families to take care of, among other things, yet I can't help but wonder the point at which a person becomes capable of rationalizing that cheating is not only acceptable, but also the only option.

The requests by high school students frustrate me. What could a 16-year-old possibly have going on that necessitates paying someone to write a 1-page paper? Nothing! The worst of the worst are requests from doctoral students who want their dissertations written. I'm not talking about proofreading or editing, but literally writing the entire project. And these individuals will likely receive their doctorates all because they cheated. My dissertation took me three years!! Three years! Can you imagine focusing on one subject for three years of your life?! I hope they get caught.

Rant over. Sorry about that, but thanks for reading.
