1) it's not that deep. 2) I fully believe that the OG characters would be where they are now in real life and if you give the show a chance, they make fun of the original show and how "clean" it was. Yeah the kids were good people but you know what? Being a good person doesn't always take you where you want to go. I totally saw Slater as being stuck in HS and being the jock as his peak and Zack using his privilege (he was VERY privileged) to become governor. They address how far ahead Jesse was of her time and even some other cameos. Just because you want the core 6 to be in a fantasy world doesn't make it realistic. Go watch Fuller House instead if you want them to be stuck where they are.
