Interviewers of Reddit: How did an applicant accidentally admit to a crime in an interview?

Not an Interviewer but just a few days ago I was taking the bus downtown and got into a friendly conversation with the passenger next to me. Funny enough, because criminal justice is one of my hobbies, I had turned the conversation that way pretty quick and something immediately felt off.

A couple minutes later I started a little subtle prodding (asking questions about how his week had been going and so on) and the guy started getting visibly nervous. Now, I have to mention this wasn't some young guy, the man looked like he was in his mid thirties, but by this point he was showing all the classic signs of a guilty conscience.

Anyway I followed the person when they got off the bus under the guise of heading in the same direction. To make a long story short I ended up detaining the man and called the police. Turns out he was a local drug dealer with some pretty high scale operations. (selling meth and marijuana along with cocaine)

Tldr: I caught a criminal working off a gut instinct while riding public transit.
