I was in Georgia and she in Missouri. We're both very introverted. I sent her a nerdy pick up line in a dating app. She had her finger on the delete button and almost lost me forever until she laughed and realized I was cute so she did the button slide off maneuver with her finger to avoid deleting me. We talked everyday nonstop for the next 4 months and finally agreed to meet in Atlanta. I remember the first time I saw her clear as day. That was our first date at Six Flags and we had our first kiss waiting in line for Superman. We lived 900 miles apart but couldn't stop visiting each other. Long distance was the most difficult thing I've done in my life but it cemented our ability to get through anything together because of love. We ended up moving closer together for school and got married on the beach 2 years ago. Now I get to love her everyday without the distance but with the confidence we'll get through anything. If there's anything I can say about choosing a spouse and love, is let it be someone you never want to ever give up on, love is perseverance.
