Investment account for stocks for child

The thing is, the person was giving advice on something I didn’t ask about. I didn’t ask about whether it was a good idea for my son to invest his money or not; I was simply wondering if Wealthsimple was a good option or if there was a better option. This person comes along and tells me that I should be teaching my son about budgeting, saving, and delayed gratification. A bit judge-y, no? How do they know that is not already being done?

So yes, when someone gives unsolicited advice that comes off a bit rude, I will defend myself. And yes, I am fully aware a paid of mortgage is not the best financial option but I am doing ok, despite that “poor financial decision”.
