iOS 11 Performance Megathread! Post How iOS 11 is Performing on Your Device! Plus Strawpoll

iPad Mini 4 reporting in. iOS 10 was very smooth with only minor and largely unnoticeable stuttering compared to my 6s+. iOS 11 runs like absolute garbage—virtually every animation has significant stutter, and there's a lot more stuttering while using individual apps.

Also, being forced to bring up this weird combination app switcher and control panel just to change the brightness is terrible UX. Not being able to see the app I was using while changing the brightness is absurd. I was excited to hear that they were moving the control center items to one page, but now that I see how they've done that, I just want the old one back.

If I weren't forced to stick with iOS 11 for development, I'd immediately downgrade to my latest 10.x backup. This experience makes me want to sell the Mini 4 and upgrade to the latest Pro, but the price is just too high, and it shouldn't be necessary in the first place. Why the fuck did they get rid of the 128GB option?

All around unhappy with this update. It runs well enough on my 6s+ but still poorly enough that I'd probably just keep iOS 10 on it if I didn't use it for development etc.
