Is the Iowa Caucus going first still a good method for choosing nominees? Should it be kept or reformed?

Main issue there is that it means only people with pre-existing national name recognition are viable candidates. That excludes multiple people who won through the primary system because they were able to build their brand as they went. Obama is the obvious example there—he won in 2008 largely off of strong early showings that demonstrated his viability, which he leveraged into an eventual win.

It also seriously heightens the risk of another Trump—the need for national name recognition would give a huge advantage to a slim number of candidates who have that in-built national brand—former VPs, Congressmembers with a national brand—and celebrities. The first and second group are far more limited in scope than the third.
