Iowa TV reporter comes out as trans during news broadcast

I certainly call it brave, trans people are constantly risking harassment, doxxing, assault etc even in liberal parts of the world.

My country (Australia!) almost passed a bill this year letting private schools expel gay and transgender students.

I know multiple LGBTQ people at severe odds with their religious families.

The amount of anti-trans hate I see online is crazy, especially in meme communities.

I'm androgynous and I get stared at by nosy old people and I've had an old person freak out on me for using my assigned bathroom. I haven't been presenting this way for long so I'm worried if there's worse stuff down the road.

I highly recommend keeping an eye out specifically in LGBT circles because often this type of stuff never makes it to mainstream circles.
