IP ban?

From what I understand, they don’t usually do IP bans because it’s too hard to narrow it down.

What they do I believe, is something a little smarter.

They have a setting under “Your Twitter Data” Which INFERS your identity.

It’s set by default for all accounts. It can be turned off.

It basically records and detects all your activity because you consent to it by not turning it off, and yeah you can turn it off.

It takes all the data from your phone number, email, username, retweets, Likes, searches, devices AND switching between accounts and other things down on your device related to Twitter - and makes a guess as to who you are. Inferred Identity.

Yes, in the TOS they say they can and will use this data to not only make your experience better - but to protect their platform and uphold their rules, i.e to suspend etc.

From what I’ve seen, it’s very similar to the Facebook setting that gave them data that FB then sold which caused them mega dramas. FB’s one collected certain data which it used to share between apps (and anything using apps like Google etc) to create a better experience - often causing its Friend Suggest to give freaky suggestions because it would detect relationships and similarities of activity between you and your cousins best friends aunt through other areas of the site and suggest you to each other.
