[IP] Great Wall

---SERAPH FILES---RECOVERED ENTRY #16---

"Throne worlds are weird places." She whispered.

"They're pockets of spacetime altered to a single purpose. I'd assume they are." I responded.

We stood in the entrance to one of the Archangel's throne worlds. Inside lied the Unceasing Storm, a bottle with an actual lightning storm inside.

"I mean, I get how the last one was off a cliff, but in a cargo crate? What's the sense in that?" Allison sounded clueless. Probably felt it too.

"Have you ever watched Doctor Who?" I asked.

"No. Only nerds like you watch that show." She replied.

"Well, his explanation for the Tardis is that it's bigger on the inside. Let's leave it at that." I wrapped up the conversation.

Suddenly, a low growl of hate and evil came from inside. It shook the dust off the walls, knocked vines down from their perches. Past the dust, I saw a familiar symbol.

"This is the Perfection Complex!" I cried.

"Perfection Complex?" Allison asked.

"Back when the devils controlled angel city, they began constructing a machine that they thought would bring about perfection. They stored this inside a maze that could only be solved by the perfect being." I answered.

"Sounds like overkill." She summed up. I nodded at that and turned my head back towards the maze, judging the best way to enter. My sword was in my hand, but I didn't want to use it. Killing anything in there could alert everything else. Or worse, the Archangel.

Then the creature barreled out at us. I don't know what that thing was. It looked like a devil with mechanical spider legs. It was holding a massive shotgun-like contraption, and firing molten slag at us. Allison combat rolled to the side, while I sprinted in the other direction past it. It turned to face me, and Allison took the chance to cleave off one of its legs. It roared into the air and stumbled, leaving its back open. I jumped up and blunted my blade into it, releasing energies everywhere.

"We tend to kill a lot of stuff from behind, don't we?" Allison remarked.

"That incident with the council doesn't count." I grumbled. I'd pulled a muscle. I jumped down and readied my sword.

"Lord only knows what's in there, Allison."

"Let's go then."

Deja Vú, Syraphia?
