[IP] You've been running through the jungle for days. Your leg catches on a vine and you fall face first to the ground. As you pick yourself up, a blue sign catches your eye.

A MEMOIR OF DEATH

I was panting beyond belief. I had only stopped to rest once, but even that was too long. Every time I stopped I was only reminded of what led me to this precarious situation. The images of blood and horror were stuck in my mind, and I was sure I'd never fly in a plane again. As I kept running, I thought more and more of crash, and where exactly we crashed. I was flying with a research team to Argentina, and by my guess we were somewhere over Brazil. Anyways, it's better if I explain what happened later, instead of focusing on the past. I tripped over a branch as I ran, the next thing I remembered being some snake-like creature crawl next to me. The Amazon, or wherever I was, was a frightening place. I saw some kind of oddly colored "thing" in the distance as I tried to stand, until I realized it was a sign attached to a post. It had two lines of text, one in what I presumed was Portuguese, and one in Spanish. My Spanish was okay, and certainly enough to read the sign. I roughly translated it, mumbling what I thought it translated to to myself. "We are not responsible for chain accidents" it read, my fluent Spanish apparently not good enough for the sign. Chain accidents? The entire sign just kept me confused as I realized my surroundings. I finally stood up, trying to get a closer look at the sign. It was then I realized the gash in my leg was pouring blood.
