I was arrested by the Sepah in 1984 because they falsely accused my older brother of being involved in Haft e Tir and they later executed him, even though I was not even a mojahed and I was only 13 years old (yes, they arrested whole families for the crime of one member, you should sit back and learn and ask questions than supporting a government that is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of your brothers and sisters).
During my interrogations at Ghodarosht and Evin prison, I was violently tortured many times and other worse things that I dont want to repeat on here. But during one of my questionings in late 1984, they told me something I will never forget.
Hamid (The Interrogator): Do you think that even if your brother was successful at blowing the Rahbars brains out, anything would change?
Me: Yes! Then you fuckers will start killing and raping each other!
Hamid: (kicks me in the face) You goddless piece of shit! No wonder you dont understand anything. God will bring a new person to lead us! The rahbar is appointed by god to save us! I was released in 1985 after my mother commited suicide after hearing that my brother was killed and after fearing that I was next, couldnt take it anymore. My father then threatened to suicide bomb the Vanak Mosque with several hostages unless they released me. Unbeknowst to him, Khoehina was one of the hostages (he was a judicial official and later was famous as the editor of Salam magazine, whose shutdown caused the 1999 protests) so he got lucky and they released me and me and my father escaped to Turkey, then germany where I eventually got a degree in CS, then the US where I work to this day. However, I knew that I had to do something, so during my years in Turkey, I snuck back to Iran to save anybody I could who was facing arrest. I managed to save about 60-70 people (Mojaheds, Kurds, Turkmen, Sepahis who couldnt bear the horror anymore). I was nearly killed in 1987 in Ankara when a group of Iranian Embassy Agents caught me and tried to force me into a unmarked car (One of the men was the ambassor to ankara, who I later recognized on CNN when he became the foreign minister of Iran, Mottaki).
