This is something only extremely sectarianist and self-victimizing individuals claim, because Shia jihadists were gladly massacring 10,000s of people for no reason except people having a different religion. Not only that, while many of the Sunni terrorists were from foreign countries with 1,000s pouring in through the Syrian border, the Shia terrorists were 100% Iraqi. The fact that everything is Sunni vs Shia for you only demonstrates an extreme level of bigotry and sectarianism. Part of me is quite happy you are not living in Iraq because Iraq really does not need people who have such aggressive hatred. You demonstrate the exact same way of thinking of ISIS.

No I did not say that. You said: "Saddam killed civilians for no reason and there was never any insurgency or terrorism."
I said: "Saddam did this in response to mass terrorism and insurgency campaigns by Islamic terrorists and armed guerillas, and enjoyed lots of support from their tribes and communities which enabled a quick victory."
Also, the Shia insurgents very often used human shields, which is an absolutely deplorable practice and is an atrocious war crime. In Mosul alone, Dawa killed 40,000 civilians because of ISIS's use of human shields.
Meanwhile, Maliki's death squads and other Shia extremists simply killed hundreds of thousands of people for being the "wrong" religion.
