I'm certainly not fucking pro-Iran as you can see from my comment history I'm probably the most pro-US user on this website who isn't from America.

As for the deal, how did Netanyahu damage it exactly? If anything, he put pressure on Obama not to sign an even more terrible deal. Obama had to come up with something marketable after getting so much criticism.

By weakening Obama's negotiating strength and not helping him insure this was an incredibly secure deal I still think there are tremendous advantages to this deal but it could've been better without Republican senators meddling with it completely and trying wholeheartedly to stop the deal rather than work with the administration for once.

As for preventing war, Obama did no such thing. There most likely still be a war with Iran about 10 years from now, when they will get extremely close to building a nuke once the terms of the deal run out. Except by this time they would completely recover from the sanctions and would be a much tougher opponent. All Obama did was to kick the can down the road.

Will the US be able to stomach another invasion of a ME country after Iraq and Afghanistan ? Unlikely the Iran deal puts Iran way back to 5000 centrifuges where the Bush administration had left Obama with a complete mess as they did with everything from the economy to almost every foreign situation from Georgia to North Korea to Iraq and especially with Iran where Bush can be held accountable for making Iran the regional superpower it is today. It also keeps the level of enrichment below 4 %. It's also important to note that many of the international sanctions being lifted from China, Russia and other European countries were basically organised by the Obama administration.

So in short the deal delays them from getting a nuke and also if you're convinced that Iran must be stopped militarily than it probably makes war more palatable because at least the peaceful option was tried this time.

In any case you probably hate Obama and everything he does anyways so there's no way you would've liked this deal. Even if it was perfect.
