Iranian drone shot by US Navy

I have a few friends working on quadcopters for a defense contacter and man im fucking scared for the future. Right now we can already drop hundreds of small quadcopters from a longe range jet and control them remotely, either individual, by groups, or automatically using very, very complex neural networks.

This tech is being refined more and more every year and the implications are scary yet amazing. Think of the US sending 50 jets into an enemy country, and each of those jets drops 300 quadcopters. Each of those quadcopters has the explosive equivalent of a grenade, and the reaction time and maneuverability of a computer. Now imagine when battery tech is sufficient enough (hint it already is, but it will always get better and extend range of quadcopters) that you can those 15000 (50x300) quadcopters into enemy territory. Each of those have been fed data on whichever insurgency (lets say China) and their uniforms and weapons and stats about ages and gender distribution. So 15000 drones looking for individual people and targetting them based on pre defined data.

This is the future of warfare, and its already very well under way.
