IsItBullshit: Dropping a (plugged in) microwave or blow dryer into water will electrocute you

Find out for yourself (safely): 1) Be sure your house wiring is up to date so that the experiment doesn't do any damage (circuit breakers properly rated and GFCI) 2) Get a multimeter and put it on the floor near the tub. Turn it on to the correct voltage limit for your region, and then drop the two leads into the tub. 3) Find an appliance that you don't mind destroying. 4) Fill up the tub with water 5) Plug in the appliance where it can fall into the tub (say, on the ledge of the tub) 6) Back up from the tub a bit, but make sure you can still see the multimeter readout 7) Knock the appliance into the tub using a stick 8) Watch or take a video of the outcome on your MM. Observe how many volts and for what duration.
