IsItBullshit: Introversion was going to be labeled as a disorder, but that idea was scrapped during research when psychologists found out that roughly half the population was introverted.

This is complete bullshit. And clinging to "introversion" as an excuse to be socially inept is bullshit, because humans are on a wide spectrum. Someone who might be energized from a group outing normally might find the same activity draining at a different time. People who are generally homebodies who turn down plans regularly might find when they want to go out for it to never end. Even these are extreme examples.

You don't have to be some charisma champion and wowing big groups at a dinner party, but clinging to the black and white idea of, "I'm introverted" vs "extorted" as an excuse to not get better at socializing and be avoidant is garbage. It's vital for any remotely public job, and socializing in general.
