Drinking is a part of Korean culture (especially in college) and I'd argue that Korea's drinking culture is a lot more prevalent in all aspects of society (Koreans drink so much more than Americans in general and every business Hwaeshik or basically drinking after work with your coworkers is always focused on alcohol).

Of course that whole statistic about the Asian glow is definitely true because many Asians lack a certain enzyme that effectively detoxifies alcohol or something like that, but you'll notice that all the other stuff like nausea and headaches are generally what happens when you drink lmao regardless of race
