Islam Seen As Fastest Growing Religion

Let us not play the quote game, it will be a bruising affair for you. Secondly, three years of theology at university tell me I am not wrong, it is an overt dispositional requirement to recognise the words as infallible & unchanging and 'change' is dichotomous when juxtaposed with infallibility. A faith that in 2015 still champions jihad and martyrdom, cultivates the principle of blasphemy and fosters the view that apostates should be killed and infidels converted, subjugated or slain is not a modality of existence that enriches lives and is not a religion that is permeable to 'change'. Yes change is neccesary, Islam needs a miracle of reinterpretation, moderation is the only way forward, but as I have alluded to, no religion in this world makes moderation more difficult than Islam.

Islam (and particularly the Middle East) will simply struggle in its toil to modernise because Islam itself represents an extremist rejection of intellectual honesty, liberty, gender equality, secular politics and genuine pluralism. The Arab world is economically stagnant and intellectually isolated. The Islamic world of today is in a regressive situation and the reason is doctrinal. It is no coincidence that of the worlds top 10 bottom ranking countries for womens rights, 9 were revealed by an official WEF report to be majoritively Muslim. Even Indonesia, the atypical poster child for Muslim moderation, has an Islamic population of 40% that want adulterers stoned to death. These aren't the foundations for progress or 'change'.

And lastly, for a Muslim to stand resolute and say that the words are not perfect is a grave sin and an egregious insult to your prophet and to allah.
