'Islamophobia a bogus label': Jewish Chronicle under fire over story

How hard is it to understand really? Are you being meaningfully obtuse?

The issue is not with the actions or beliefs of certain individual believers - that's horrendous in every faith/political leaning/whatever.

The issue arises in the widespread shared attitudes that are held by a majority (or significant minority) of adherents. There are countless studies - such as the one above - that show that British Muslims have, across the demographic as a whole, far more regressive views than other faiths + the non-religious.

That is problematic because it isn't a small minority, it isn't a couple of nutters radicalised online, it's a persistent societal attitude opposing progressive ideas. That is the issue, and there is simply no way you could argue in good faith that Islam in this country is in any way comparable to Christianity in this country regarding compatibility with the Western and Liberal values that make this country a far better place to live than the countless repressive states across the globe.
