All of this is heavy handed nonsense plays into his domestic agenda. Corrupt? Yes. Genocidal? Meh not so much. Opportunistic? Definitely. He’s not a maniac either. He’s a relic from 20 years ago.

And sorry yes I am American but I have a degree in non-ignorance. American media is no longer the 4th estate. After the spread of cable and now dominance of give it to me now technology, American media only care about $$$. In terms of news networks anyway. Actual news outlets like AP are legit, but they don’t have a news channel. Time Warner owns huge swathes of American media like spectrum news and cnn. Then you’ve got your fox and oan. None of these characters give a shit about anything but ratings.

Larger western media outlets cover it. BBC doesn’t shy away from too much. Reuters is good. So there are plenty of sources out there that go on to describe his family’s corruption. But Americans don’t care. They also don’t know any of the history of the region. Nor do they comprehend that Jews and Palestinians (all Arabs really) are all ethnically the same people. Israel and the Arab world are fighting over land and god concepts.
