I hate to be “that guy” but have you made it to the higher levels of ranked seasons (CS or WS)?? The hitting and runs scored have changed drastically for me since I hit CS.

I’ve had some really great games recently against guys rated in the high 800s and above... last night I won two consecutive games that went into extra innings (11 and 14 respectively) and both games finished with a score of 2-1.

Who knows... maybe both of these opponents suck as bad as I do at hitting, or maybe the bump in difficulty tones things down a little when compared to the lower levels of ranked seasons. Both dudes had diamond loaded lineups with power bats every where...made my diamond of Freeman, McCann and Dale Murphy look pathetic (Go Braves!!).

For whatever reason... my games have been much more low scoring and I am seeing more realistic games since reaching the CS and WS levels.

Admittedly, I have always been a below average hitter but have enough baseball smarts and knowledge of situational baseball to get me out of enough jams and squeak by winning a lot of close games.

Maybe these two games are outliers but it was still encouraging to play a few low scoring pitcher’s duel type of games.

Also, to all the others guys that can’t hit a lick like myself... keep your head up. I was able to get to WS with a 28-5 record while posting an embarrassingly low batting average of .221 (lmao
