Israel is boycotting a film festival in Paris which plans to screen "Foxtrot", an acclaimed drama which depicts the Israeli army covering up the deaths of Palestinian teenagers.

You've said you're a member of the IDF, and it sounds like, either an active one

Active. Not an officer.

(Actually it sounds like you're a member of the foreign ministry spewing propaganda, but that's just my 2 cents.)

That's not a real thing. Cue the BBC article stating that it is...

Regardless, don't you think that maybe, just maybe, your view is a bit biased? I'll bet the average person wouldn't feel too comfortable insulting or disagreeing with the Israeli military or foreign policy around you, given your vehement reactions to perceived slights by foreigners online. If you're half as defensive about the military in person, yeah I wouldn't say shit around you either.

No lol I don't think I'm a bit biased. Listen man you still don't get it. Israel is TINY. it's like a single city in America. EVERYONE here served. Everyone supports the military because everyone knows someone who went to war and didn't come back. Everyone sees all the small terrorist attacks that happen here that don't make it to worldnews.

Go ahead into /r/Israel and ask them what they think.

You really are still trying to tell me about my own society. I'm actually extremely liberal in Israel. Reddit brings out the angry Zionist in me.

If I had the time to sit here and tell you all the little nuances in Israeli culture that you're missing, I would. But I don't.
