Issue with Org and Player Relationship.

So this, it kind of where i think COD is hitting that crossroad.

At what point to players say "im not going the extra mile without some kind of reimbursement" I mean, ill be honest. If i was asked to do things above and beyond of my normal routine i would oblige for a short time, and then afterwards if i was expected to maintain them i would demand an increase in my pay. The problem that we seem to keep coming back to, is in my eyes, mentorship. No one seems to be really letting these players know what they can do, and how valuable they can be if they just do A, B, and C.

I can definitely agree about the social media thing, they are animated personalities at the least lol.

If it was my call.

I would pay the players say 250/month. and for that 250 they would need to do X number of things for my sponsors/orgs. whether thats posts/videos/streaming deliverables etc.

Then as they complete those, they move up in tier to higher paid salaries. but this largely depends upon the money they are bringing ME in as an org. if i make 10k/month because of my COD team. and they cost roughly 1500/month to maintain. why on earth are they not being compensated accordingly? If COD is a 3 month roster cycle esport. and thats just how it is, and will be. that doesn't mean the players should never be paid, it means we should find a way to create a stable source of income regardless of rostermania. I feel like we forget about them too much. Players who are doing this full time and are expected to do it full time, aren't making the money to be doing this full time. and are for lack of a better term, destroying their near future. (pending they dont win of course). i mean, 20k a year foregoing college is not a smart move. 40-60k (total income per year), now we are setting a decent sense of worth for a pro player to look forward to etc. I can DM you, honestly i do think i have your skype :)
