Italian music! It has defined the mandolin and its sound for so many years...

I am the "guy", so apologies for annoying some people here. I am very new to reddit, still digging and experimenting to understand it and perhaps doing some mistakes. I understand now that it would be better to add a direct link to the video in youtube, so I will keep it in mind.

Regarding rent-seeking/monetization etc., just a few words: the mechanism described maybe almost correct (not entirely) but the motives behind my blog at least are not. To my experience, it is not possible to get revenue from a mandolin blog, the subject is not popular. You must be lucky to cover the expenses of running a site (I am not) and it is impossible to be paid for the hours you dedicate (I am not even counting, no meaning).
So why do it then? I am dedicating my time to this blog for other reasons. First of all I love the mandolin and secondly I have found that the blog allowed me to discover and connect to some amazing musicians. Regarding these videos, I had the idea to create a database of mandolin artists around the world and include their profiles, links to their videos and to their CDs to provide a complete picture. I had the idea when discussing about foreign mandolin musicians with other mandolinists in the orchestra I play in Greece and everybody agreed that it is difficult to find info. So, by creating this database I discovered a lot of artists I did not knew before, which is cool and I hope that I will help others do so. Most of the times when I add an artist, I send him an email to let him know, and to approve the info. Everybody does (so far) and most thank me for dedicating the time and they add me in their "friend" list. To be honest I did not sent emails to mandolin heroes like Thile or Marshal, (who am I to contact such stars?), but maybe I will find the courage to do so in the future. Finally, regarding these links to CDs, they will indeed create a small commission (4-6% from Amazon) but only in case somebody buys it coming from my blog. In my case, only 3 or 4 CDs have been bought this way with a total commission less that 2 USD (!). I know it is funny, but it is true. On the other hand, from statistics I see that a lot of people look at them, so I hope that maybe this helps the artists in some way, so I am still doing it. Anyway, closing this long comment, I am happy to see a live mandolin community here, and again apologies for annoying some people with my beginners posts.
