Yes. Member states will be encouraged to eventually get their deficit under control, but that’s prudent. They will be given adequate time to do so, which is ensured by the fact that they have simultaneously faced a devastating budget shock and they are voting on when to apply it.

You still haven’t acknowledged you literally had no idea that there was a general escape clause and that it had been triggered until 10 mins ago or so when I told you.
