ITAP of an abandoned railroad bridge near Pittsburgh, PA

As much as I don't want to be that guy... please, please, please don't take pictures on railroad tracks.

Borrowing from /u/chemical_preference's excellent post a couple weeks ago:

Trains can be nearly silent. You won't hear it before it runs you over. Trains also do not run on set schedules. There have been many models, newly weds, families, and teenagers killed posing on railroad tracks. Even if the engineer sees you and hits the emergency brakes, it can take a train a mile to stop. One of my trains blasted through a homeless man. We did everything to stop, but we could not see him until it was too late.

I still have nightmares of being in the cab and seeing a child play on the tracks. It scares every railroad employee. We have to live with those images, and still go home and hug our kids.

Even if it looks rusty and abandoned, railroads let lines go dormant for several years, only to at random start driving trains on them again with no warning. The only place where it is safe to take these pictures is at a railroad museum. Otherwise, if the rails at still there, it is active.
