I've been trying to get out of our town to start fresh, but the pandemic made it so much harder. What's your advice or stories if you experienced same situation?

If you just graduated from college, that’s a normal feeling (being anxious cause you don’t find a job, want to leave but at the same time you don’t, etc.). Based on experience: 1. Recent college graduates think they cannot find a job but most of the times they don’t know how to look for a job. There are plenty all over the country and even more if you expand your horizons to the world. 2. Leave your hometown could be scary but it is an awesome experience. You learn a lot and most likely you won’t go back. That makes coming back for parties even funnier. 3. Money is a challenge, but have a roommate after graduation is still fine. I found my best friends like that.

The pandemic makes more difficult several things, but getting a remote job is even easier these days. Get a job like that and live wherever you want. Also, don’t discard the possibility of study a masters or PhD. Those are easier to get, you can apply for an scholarship, or work at the university. After you finish, you will be qualified to more jobs.

Short story: I looked for jobs out of my home town but where I knew other people. I worked for a year. Then I applied for grad school, I had an awesome roommate. After graduation and even before the pandemic I was working remotely.
